Meet our Clinicians

Benjamin Meyer, Licensed Professional Counselor

Do you find yourself wondering why you do what you do? Repeating the same patterns? Making the same kinds of choices, even though you are not sure how this could have happened? You're not alone. In my counseling practice, I'll guide you to learn how and why these things occur and what you can do to change it. We'll take a look at how your awareness is shaped by powerful forces-- more specifically, the thoughts and beliefs that may have been established when you were much younger. I'll help you find your truth, so you can better understand yourself, and make choices you feel proud of.
Treatment approach:

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Deprogramming and Re-processing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and I primarily use the theroetical orientations of psychodynamism (psychological) and existentialism (philosophic) in my work. I use an approach called Emotion Focused Therapy when I work with couples.  Understanding behavior is my passion.  I obtained my degree in Psychology at Ohio State University and I received my Master's in Counseling at Ottawa University in Phoenix, Arizona.  I also have a Master's in Philosophy from Louisiana State University.

I offer secure online video conference meetings, if preferred. I invite you to contact me if you have any questions, or are interested in learning more. To get started, you can learn more about us here, or you can call or email. There is no time like the present for you to begin feeling better.
